Some Great Quotes

Growing Up

“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.” (Mark Twain)

Freeing the Self

When we speak about creating a new culture at the leading edge, beyond the status quo that we are embedded in, we don’t necessarily know what it is supposed to look like. That’s understandable—after all, it has not yet emerged. And we don’t need to have a completely clear picture of where we are going. What we do need to know is what it means to disembed the self from that which is inhibiting its potential for vertical ascent. And as we free ourselves, in the midst of ascending, we will begin to see where it is that we are going. What is necessary, first and foremost, is to free the self to make this heroic journey. (Andrew Cohen)

“Bebop was about change, about evolution. It wasn’t about standing still and becoming safe. If anybody wants to keep creating they have to be about change”.(Miles Davis)

“Imagination is more important than Knowledge”
(Albert Einstein)

“Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”  (Albert Einstein)
